IEDA Annual Events Recap

With our largest turnout to date, the IEDA Orlando Annual Events were an enormous success in 2012 and the Board of Directors extends their appreciation and thanks to everyone who supported these events. As you know, Florida is a hot spot for equipment dealers in the month of February and 2012 was no different. With major equipment auctions occurring throughout the early months of the year, dealers from all over the world flood into the area to buy and sell heavy equipment. Of course, it isn’t ALL work. It is a fantastic opportunity to network and socialize. It is also an opportunity to have a small amount of fun! The IEDA held its Ten Year Anniversary Golf Tournament and handed out awards to the tune of over $2000 in prizes. We also held alternate events for the non-golfing crowd. Go-Kart Racing and Sporting Clays were options this year, and the groups that participated in those events are already planning for next year.

In addition, this year the IEDA made an effort to hold a “mini-tradeshow” to give our Associate Members an opportunity to meet and shake hands with our members. Moving forward, we will attempt to hold this type of event again and allow ample time for information to be shared. The Board of Directors hopes to offer additional opportunities throughout the year for our members to learn about the value and benefits each of our Associates brings to the table.
